Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs, and a Zebra

30 Aug

Mornin’ everyone! Hope y’alls week, and back to school is going good! Today I have my favorite color from the O.P.I. Germany Collection- Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs. I always love me a good shimmery purple 🙂 The formula was awesome, I only needed 2 coats for full opacity. I also did a zebra stamp making it look like a disco zebra or something 🙂 hahaha

Addicted to Blue

27 Aug

Mornin everyone! Hope y’all’s Monday is starting off good! And good luck to those of you starting school today! I don’t go back till Wednesday, my last fall semester as an under grad 🙂 yay! So today I have a polish that was given to me by Ivana at Ivana Thinks Pink in our swap- Essence Blue Addicted. It’s a dark blue jelly base with blues, and green hexagonal glitter; and small little blue glitter. The formula was good, it did get a bit goopy after a while.

You Don’t Know Jacques, or Penny Talk

24 Aug

Mornin’ everyone! Today is going to be quick, but I have a cute mani I wanted to show yall. I used OPI You Don’t Know Jacques as my base, and Essie Penny Talk to stamp with (I’ll have to get back to ya’ll on the stamp number).

What do you think?! I actually didn’t mean to stamp the flowers that close together, but I ended up liking it anyways 🙂

P.S. I’m experimenting with taking pics of my mani with the help of Bregje’s post at Oooh, Shinies

Swap with Ivana at Ivana Thinks Pink!

22 Aug

Hello everyone! Today I have a special post- my swap with Ivana Thinks Pink! I have followed and loved Ivana for forever it seems, and when I started Lacquer Land she was one of the first bloggers I reached out to for blogging advice. She has always been nothing but super nice to me, and she makes some amazing manicures 🙂 She sent me a TON of goodies, it was honestly like Christmas at our house!

Amazing right?! She also included a couple things of makeup. Thank you so much Ivana!!!

And in honor of my Ivana Thinks Pink swap, I used the Essence Nail Color 3 and did a frenchy 🙂 The base color is Shopping Trip in Soho, and the color on the tips is Party All Night Long. This was the first time I had tried this (using scotch tape), so don’t judge. I actually really like it, and want to start to perfect the skill 😉 Shopping Trip in Soho also went on like butter. Totes going to use that one over and over 🙂

A Princess with a Happy Ending

20 Aug

Hello everyone! Hope yalls weekend was good! I had a wonderful weekend, and even made a little day trip back up to school to see some friends 🙂 Today I have a quick post with a new favorite of mine- Cult Nails Princess. It is a light blue with pink shimmer in it. I compared it with Essie Bikini So Teeny, and BST is more neonish, and while I do not have Sinful Colors Cinderella I have read it is also not a dupe 🙂 I also added Cult Nails Happy Ending on top- love. Both of these colors were from the Cult Nails Fairytale Collection (and some will be discontinued soon!).

2 coats of Princess, 1 coat of Happy Ending

What do you think?! Don’t forget to check out all the Cult Nails polishes here!
