A Stroke of Brilliance Over the Edge

11 Aug

Hello my nail polish lovers! Today I have a little mani that was inspired by an Essie ad in I think Glamour magazine from this month. They had a little tear out page that had all their luxeffects and about 5 colors that would look best with each glitter. Luckily I had at least one color that they had listed for each glitter 🙂 So I decided to use Essie’s new Stroke of Brilliance, a gorg blue glitter. For Stroke of Brilliance they had Chinchilly, Lapiz of Luxury, and Over the Edge (which is what I used because it was in my untried pile 🙂 ).

Here’s the ad- the bottles are little stickers with the names on the back, however, if you follow me on IG then you know I have been finding them stuck to my feet since tearing it out of the magazine (that’s why there’s a couple missing lol).

A Bikini So Teeny With Polka-Dots

11 Jun

Happy Monday! Hope everyone’s weekend was good! Today I have a mani that I fell in looove with. This past weekend I tried Essie’s new Bikini So Teeny Summer Collection. All the colors are so cute! This is Bikini So Teeny, a light periwinkle blue color. When looking at it in the bottle it has a little bit of shimmer in it, but it doesn’t transfer to your nail at all. I still love the color though 🙂

I was going to stamp this mani, but the ones I picked out ended up not looking like I wanted. So I then picked up my dotting tool, and got that “yellow polka-dot bikini” song stuck in my head….and again now. 😉 But I freakin love how it turned out! I think it’s so cute!!!

Max Factor Fantasy Fire Part 1

9 Jun

Hello everyone! Hope yalls weekend is going good! Today I have a polish that I got in my swap a few weeks ago, and it was one I never thought I would get my hands on. Max Factor Fantasy Fire is a huge lemming for us in the nail polish world, and is a dupe for colors that are discontinued. In this post I paired it with Revlon Royal, because that’s how I’ve seen it most commonly worn. But Fantasy Fire actually has a purplish base, so that’s what I’ll try pairing it with next 🙂 Without further a-do…

GORG RIGHT?! Omg I love this polish. I even kept it on for a whopping 5 days (I had no time to do any manicures this week because summer school takes over my life Monday-Friday)!!

Good Girl Gone Bad

4 Jun

Hello everyone! I hope everyone’s week is starting off good! Mine has started with a bang. I have 1 quiz and 2 tests in the next 3 days, so I will be doing a lot of studying. Luckily I have been doing a lot of manicures lately, just not posting them so it kinda worked out in the end 🙂 Today I have my love Deborah Lippmann and Good Girl Gone Bad. It’s a deep purple/pink jelly base with shimmer loaded in it. Yet again, the formula was flawless and was a breeze to work with.
