Paparazzi Don’t Preach & First Ever Nail Mail!

20 Apr

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone’s week was good, mine was 🙂 I only had one test this week whoop whoop! and I got my first nail mail ever!! I had entered Milani’s MVP giveaway on Twitter and I was one of the lucky few that won! I got SIX(!!!) beautiful polishes, all shimmer-filled bottles of awesome-ness.

Here’s a picture of all my winnings 🙂

(L-R: Key West, Beach Front, Sail Away, Orchidia, Deep Thoughts, and Silver Stilettos)

How gorg are these colors?! When they arrived I was at school and all my nail supplies are in Houston, so for almost 24 hours I have been able to only stare at them and it’s killing me! I can’t wait to go home and try these beauties out!!!

Ok now on to the beauty that is on my nails 🙂 This week I tried out Paparazzi Don’t Preach from Nicole by OPI (it’s from their Kardashian Collection…meh). The color is a peachy pink that needed 3 coats. The formula was pretty good, the first 2 coats are pretty scary looking but the 3rd coat evens everything out into a shiny, clean finish.

Gorg no?! I’m not a huge fan of natural or nudes (I like some color!! 😉 ) but I actually really like this one.

I then stamped it with OPI You Don’t Know Jacques and a Bundle Monster plate (I don’t have the number with me, but if you want to know just comment or message me). YDKJ isn’t the best stamping polish but I really liked how it came out kinda faded, making it look tribal or something. I still have it on my nails 2 days later and I love it more and more everyday 🙂

What do you think?!

Essie Van D’ Go and Glitter Mani!

7 Apr

Happy Easter weekend! I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend! I however have to study the whole weekend for a huge test on Tuesday. 😦 Because of this I think my bad mood transferred to my manicures. I like them, I just think I could have done a better job. I was kinda rushing 🙂

I’m not big on doing themed manicures (like for holidays) so I TRIED to keep with Easter feeling colors, but whatever 🙂 I chose Essie Van D’ Go as my base, a peachy pink color. The formula was ok. I needed 3 coats for full opacity.

I then stamped it with Essie Tart Deco, a peachy pink color. I also used BM-210 for the design. 🙂

I loved the stamp at the end. I just wish I would have taken my time : / So that’s why I have a glitter mani, but again, I was disappointed. I chose OPI That’s Berry Daring as my base, a magenta pink (reminds me of Kiss Me On My Tulips) and put Nicole by OPI Love Your Life on top. When I first saw this glitter, I was so excited to try it out with the big hearts in it. When I did try it, I could never get the hearts on the brush, and when I did, I also had a huge amount of polish on my brush. ughughugh So in the end I never got any hearts on my nails. If I would have known this, I would have just stamped hearts on my nails. Don’t waste your money on this one.

This reminds me of Barbie nails or something haha

What do you think?! Have you had one of those days where none of your polishes worked out right?

Neon Love! Ladies In The Limelight, Purple Panic, & Dude Blue

1 Apr

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone’s weekend was good! In spirits of the spring/summer temperatures, I have some neon love for everyone. 🙂

First up, Nicole by OPI Ladies In The Limelight. This is a yellow/lime green color (it photographed more yellow). I was more excited about this color and after putting it on, I was more bleh about it.

3 coats

Next up is China Glaze Purple Panic. It has a slight tint of purple, but it leans more neon pink. Nothing else to really say about it other than it lived up to the China Glaze name by having a perfect formula.

2 coats

Lastly is Milani Neon Dude Blue. While I do not like the name for this color at all, I have to say it was my favorite color and formula. It only took 2 coats which is nice, and the final result is so smooth and shinyyyy 🙂

What do you think?! Hope you enjoyed the neon 🙂
